Flat Eased Edge Wheel Tests

This test was done on a Montresor Luna 740S using flat polishing wheels.

The Montresor Luna 740S used for this testing session. The job was a small, eased edge on the top and the bottom (approximately 3mm radius). Two types of wheels were used for the polishing:

1. 6" T6 Edge Polishing Wheel was used for the radius (main) area.
2. 5" T6 Edge Polishing Wheel was used on the 3 head falt polishing end with oscillation turned on.

Polishing Results

The polishing results were very good. Both aspects of the polish were very good; shine and shape. The Settings and sequence was used on both granite and quartz materials.

Settings and Pressure

The following settings and pressure were used on the tests conducted using the flat edge area of the machine:

• Radius Area Sequence:
  • 400 at 1.6 bar
  • 600 at 1.8 bar
  • 800 at 2.0 bar
  • 800 at 2.4 bar
  • 1200 at 2.6 bar
  • 3000 at 2.8 bar
• Flat Area Sequence:
  • 600 at 3.2 bar
  • 800 at 3.2 bar
  • 1500 at 3.2 bar
  • Oscillation On
• Back Pressure: 3.4
• Belt Speed: 36 to 38 cm/min
